Emotions, such as happiness, love, anger, and fear can be triggered by the situation that you are in, the people you are with and sometimes a work of art. Evoking means to draw something out like feelings, emotions and memories. To evoke a reaction. I strive to create work that is not about what I see in front of me, but rather how something made me feel or a memory of an experience.

Barbara was born in New York City but has lived most of her life in the Southwest. The beauty and serenity of the region has inspired many of her works. She began studying fine art at Mesa Community College and ASU taking classes ranging from design to photography, drawing to painting and monotypes. She has continued her art education through workshops with professional artists and a Master Printmaker.
