Harald Lutz Bruckner a.k.a. Hugh L. Beykirch immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1954. When he retired from academia, he discovered that there was an after-life and pursued his passion for both painting and writing. Hugh’s art as well as his published novels are carried in the Tubac Center of the Arts Gallery Gift Shop.
Duke Southard redirected, not retired, after a thirty-five year career in public education. This redirection has seen him write eleven books. All eight of his novels have received literary recognitions with his latest earning first place in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Historical Fiction and Grand Prize in the Arizona Authors Association Literary Awards.
Debra VanDeventer is a former educator who enjoys turning life’s moments into words. Her books: Out of the Crayon Box: Thoughts on Teaching, Retirement, and Life, and Until Italy: A Traveler’s Memoir, were featured at the 2024 and 2025 Tucson Festival of Books. In addition, her stories have appeared in The Desert Leaf and Oro Valley Style magazines.
David R. Davis writes contemporary novels and short stories. He has published three novels as well as a book of short stories and two poetry chapbooks. For more information about David and his writing, go to www.daviddavis-author.com
